Our Story
Megan Beit is an artist residing in rural NSW. Having completed her Bachelor of Arts (Digital Arts) at ANU in 2009 she went on to obtain an education degree and worked as a teacher from 2013. Using a vast array of traditional and digital tools including water colour, acrylic, pencil and photoshop, her subjects range from portraits to animals and landscapes and everything in between. Megan is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to expand her skillset.
When not in her studio dabbling with paints she is tending to her garden, chasing farm animals around or looking after her three children, the youngest of which has Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Since his diagnosis, Megan and her family have become strong advocates for disability rights.
You will see inspiration taken from her experience as a carer as well as images from her rural property in many of her artworks.
2024 saw the opening of Studio Beitbox and the expansion of the business to include regular Art classes for all ages and abilities.
